This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Develop, implement, and uphold global accounting policies, standards, and governance frameworks for Business Assurance.
• Ensure the consistent application of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and revenue recognition practices across various regions and legal entities.
• Standardize the accounting treatment of accreditation-related expenses and P&L account mapping.
• Assist with accounting workstreams pertaining to acquisitions and integrations.
• Examine historical financial statements and balance sheets of potential acquisition targets.
• Perform accounting assessments and aid in financial due diligence activities.
• Review purchase price accounting and calculations of goodwill.
• Support post-acquisition reporting requirements and integration efforts.
• Establish standardized methods for calculating auditor day rates and service pricing.
• Enhance transparency regarding cost allocation and profitability drivers.
• Ensure pricing models account for accreditation, travel, transfer pricing exposure, and other service delivery expenses.
• Assist in developing centralized and efficient billing structures.
• Review and optimize revenue management and charging methodologies for internal support functions.
• Collaborate with Finance and Tax teams on billing governance and compliance initiatives.
• Support accounting and governance frameworks for SGS BA Digital and digitalization projects.
• Establish accounting processes for digital platforms and newly acquired businesses in conjunction with Group Finance and Group Tax.
• Ensure the appropriate accounting treatment of software, intellectual property, and related assets.
• Provide advice to senior management on accounting, reporting, and governance issues.
• Collaborate with Regional Controllers, Group Accounting, Group Tax, and global business leaders.
• Promote the adoption of new accounting structures, policies, and governance frameworks across international teams.
• Report to the Global Head of Finance (CFO) for Business Assurance.
• Chartered Accountant qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent).
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience within international organizations.
• Strong technical accounting expertise, including IFRS, financial reporting, and accounting governance.
• Experience in a Big Four environment coupled with operational experience in a multinational organization.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting acquisitions, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration activities.
• Experience in establishing accounting policies, controls, and governance frameworks.
• Solid understanding of tax and transfer pricing considerations.
• Data literacy and familiarity with dashboards, analytics, and automation tools are desired.
• Advanced proficiency in financial tools and systems, including Excel and BI.
• Experience with Oracle ERP is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
• Knowledge of German and/or French is advantageous.
• Strong expertise in accounting governance and controllership.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to develop processes, drive change, and implement new structures.
• Commercial mindset that balances strategic and operational priorities.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse international teams.
