This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Gather and evaluate financial data to create journal entries and record business transactions.
• Generate monthly and quarterly reports on operational performance.
• Aid the Area Controller in maintaining internal controls, adhering to company policies and procedures, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and fulfilling statutory obligations.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and statistical data, and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Assist in managing accounting staff and provide guidance to various accounting functions.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process and interim forecasts, and help with analytical evaluations.
• Assist with the accounting aspects regarding capital expenditures, transfers, and retirements.
• Support periodic internal audits, external audits, and peer reviews.
• Address information requests from corporate, regional, and area field financial management.
• Perform additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.
• Experience in accounting.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficient in MS Excel at an intermediate level.
• Capacity to research and address non-standard situations to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Strong and professional communication skills across various organizational levels, as well as with external customers and vendors.
• Excellent analytical abilities.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
• Competence in working effectively, collaboratively, and efficiently within a team environment.
• Familiarity with general ledger software and other industry-standard applications.
• Experience with Oracle accounting software and other industry-standard tools.
