This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Manage both recurring and off-cycle payrolls from initiation to completion in ADP WFN/iHCM, covering inputs, validation, approvals, and final submission.
• Examine payroll registers, reconcile outcomes, and address discrepancies prior to fund disbursement.
• Ensure that statutory deductions, filings, and remittances are performed accurately and on time.
• Oversee new hires, terminations, final payments, and modifications to pay and deductions.
• Assist with quarter-end and year-end payroll processing.
• Respond promptly and clearly to payroll inquiries from clients and employees.
• Detect compliance risks and upcoming legislative changes that may impact clients.
• Collaborate with Melita's Global Payroll Services Manager to process payrolls for various clients.
• Canada track: Minimum of 3 years of experience in processing Canadian payroll, with recent hands-on experience using the ADP Workforce Now Canada platform.
• Canada track: Comprehensive understanding of CPP/QPP, EI, federal and provincial income tax, and employer health taxes.
• Canada track: Year-end expertise with T4 and T4A forms, along with Records of Employment (ROE).
• Quebec payroll experience, including RL-1 and QPIP, is highly preferred.
• PCP or CPM designation from the National Payroll Institute is desirable.
• UK track: A minimum of 3 years of experience in processing UK payroll, with recent hands-on work in the ADP iHCM platform.
• UK track: Strong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, and RTI submissions (FPS/EPS) to HMRC.
• UK track: Familiarity with pension auto-enrolment, statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP), student loan deductions, and attachment of earnings.
• UK track: Year-end experience with P60, P11D, and P45 forms.
• CIPP qualification is preferred.
• High attention to detail and sound judgment under payroll deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, accommodating time zones that overlap with US Pacific time.
