Global Onsite Lab Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, analyze, and develop financial models and proposals for both new and existing onsite laboratories.

• Collaborate with clients, as well as SGS regional and country staff, regarding requirements, costs, and timelines.

• Partner with operating affiliates to facilitate planning, scheduling, and coordination for the establishment and startup of new onsite laboratories.

• Model each onsite laboratory opportunity utilizing information gathered from regional teams.

• Secure technical and operational approval from Team and Regional Management.

• Prepare or assist in the development of technical proposals and tender submissions.

• Engage with clients to explore opportunities, verify RFP details, and negotiate to secure projects for SGS.

• Organize and track designs, builds, renovations, and expansion projects for new onsite laboratories in conjunction with local operating teams.

• Verify and oversee the procurement of laboratory equipment to ensure compliance with global standards and timely delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in a Science or Engineering-related discipline, with a strong preference for a background in Geosciences (Geology, Mines, Mineralogy, Environmental Mineralogy, Soil Science, etc.).

• Relevant technical experience in a geosciences-related field, including some exposure to business and personnel management.

• Strong understanding of the mining and minerals industry.

• Demonstrated time management abilities and a keen attention to detail.

• Capacity to perform well under pressure.

• Willingness to work extended and/or irregular hours due to global team collaboration.

• Ability to effectively collaborate with others as well as work independently without supervision.

• Capability to lead a team.

• Proven experience in managing and coordinating multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly professional setting.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, including grammar and composition.

• Proficiency in additional languages beyond English (French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, etc.) is advantageous.
