Global Onsite Lab Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, analyze, and develop financial models and proposals for both new and existing onsite laboratories.

• Collaborate with clients and SGS regional and country personnel concerning requirements, costs, schedules, and related issues.

• Partner with operating affiliates to facilitate planning, scheduling, and coordination for new onsite laboratory constructions and startups.

• Model onsite laboratory prospects utilizing information gathered from regional teams.

• Acquire technical and operational approval from Team and Regional Management.

• Prepare or assist in the development of technical proposals and tender submissions.

• Engage with clients to cultivate opportunities, verify RFP information, and negotiate to secure projects for SGS.

• Organize and monitor onsite laboratory designs, constructions, renovations, and expansion projects alongside local SGS operating teams.

• Verify and oversee the purchasing of laboratory equipment to ensure completion, compliance with global standards, and timely delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a Science or Engineering-related field, with a strong preference for a Geosciences discipline (Geology, Mines, Mineralogy, Environmental Mineralogy, Soil Science, etc.).

• Relevant technical experience in a geosciences-related field, including some elements of business management or personnel management.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the mining and minerals sector.

• Demonstrated time management abilities and a keen attention to detail.

• Capability to perform effectively under pressure.

• Readiness to work extended and/or irregular hours as necessitated by global team involvement.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with others as well as work independently without supervision.

• Competence in managing a team.

• Proven track record of managing and coordinating multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly professional environment.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including grammar and composition.

• Proficiency in additional languages beyond English (French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, etc.) is advantageous.
