Global Onsite Lab Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, analyze, and develop financial models and proposals for both new and existing onsite laboratories.

• Collaborate with clients and SGS regional and country personnel to discuss requirements, costs, timelines, and other pertinent details.

• Partner with operating affiliates to strategize, schedule, and coordinate the establishment and launch of new onsite laboratories.

• Analyze onsite laboratory opportunities utilizing data gathered from regional teams.

• Secure technical and operational approvals from team and regional management.

• Prepare or assist in the development of technical proposals and tender submissions.

• Engage with clients to explore opportunities, verify RFP details, and negotiate to secure contracts for SGS.

• Organize and monitor the scheduling of new onsite laboratory designs, constructions, renovations, and expansion initiatives with local operating teams.

• Confirm and oversee laboratory equipment procurement to ensure compliance with global standards and timely delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a Science or Engineering-related field, with a strong preference for Geosciences.

• Technical experience in a geosciences-related field, along with some experience in business or personnel management.

• Comprehensive understanding of the mining and minerals sector.

• Demonstrated time management abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to perform effectively under pressure.

• Openness to working extended and/or irregular hours for global team participation.

• Proficient in collaborating with others and working independently without supervision.

• Ability to lead a team effectively.

• Established track record in managing and coordinating multiple projects in a dynamic, highly professional setting.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, including grammar and composition.

• Proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, Russian, or Arabic is advantageous.

• Some international travel may be necessary.
