Global Onsite Lab Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, analyze, and develop financial models and proposals for both new and existing onsite laboratories.

• Collaborate with clients and SGS regional and country personnel to discuss requirements, costs, and timelines.

• Partner with operational affiliates to facilitate planning, scheduling, and coordination for new onsite laboratory constructions and startups.

• Create models for onsite laboratory opportunities utilizing information gathered from regional teams.

• Secure technical and operational approvals from Team and Regional Management.

• Prepare or assist in the creation of technical proposals and tender submissions.

• Engage with clients to foster opportunities, verify RFP information, and negotiate to secure projects for SGS.

• Organize and monitor the scheduling of new onsite laboratory designs, constructions, renovations, and expansion projects alongside local operating teams.

• Validate and oversee laboratory equipment procurement to ensure compliance with global standards and timely delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in a Science or Engineering-related field, preferably Geosciences.

• Technical experience in a geosciences-related profession, including some business management or personnel management experience.

• In-depth knowledge of the mining and minerals sector.

• Demonstrated time management abilities and a keen attention to detail.

• Capability to work effectively under pressure.

• Openness to working extended or irregular hours due to global collaboration.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively and independently without supervision.

• Experience in team management.

• Established ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly professional setting.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills, including proficiency in grammar and composition.

• Knowledge of additional languages such as French, Spanish, Russian, or Arabic is advantageous.

• Willingness to engage in some international travel.
