
Global Legal & Compliance Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Oversee and manage cross-functional projects related to legal, compliance, risk management, and certification on a global scale.
• Establish project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, responsibilities, and interdependencies.
• Create and sustain project plans, action trackers, implementation roadmaps, and status updates.
• Facilitate collaboration between Legal, Finance, Information Security, HR, Procurement, Operations, and other pertinent departments.
• Track project advancement, pinpoint delays and dependencies, escalate significant issues, and assist in ensuring timely execution of agreed actions.
• Organize and lead project meetings, document resolutions, and ensure proper follow-up.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, certification authorities, auditors, and service providers.
• Aid in the design, execution, and documentation of business processes.
• Offer practical legal counsel to internal stakeholders regarding everyday business issues.
• Assist in the review, drafting, and negotiation of contracts and other legal documents.
• Identify, evaluate, and help mitigate legal risks.
• Convert legal and regulatory obligations into actionable business recommendations.
• Support the establishment of internal legal policies, procedures, and controls.
• Oversee global compliance and risk management initiatives.
• Assume responsibilities of Chief Risk Officer and lead the Risk Oversight Committee.
• Formulate risk mitigation and remediation strategies and oversee their implementation.
• Maintain risk governance documentation, including the risk charter, risk management manual, and risk register.
• Manage SOC 2 and other compliance certifications.
• Evaluate and enhance compliance processes and controls.
• Establish, implement, and monitor the supplier compliance program.
• Coordinate both internal and external audits.
• Advise stakeholders on compliance, certification, and risk management needs.
• A minimum of five years of experience in project management, project coordination, or complex cross-functional initiatives.
• A degree in law.
• At least two years of relevant legal experience.
• Background in compliance, risk management, internal controls, audits, or certification projects.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 or comparable certification frameworks is a plus.
• Experience in an international or multi-entity business setting is preferred.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Capability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and workstreams across cross-functional teams.
• Excellent legal analysis and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate legal, compliance, and risk requirements into actionable implementation plans.
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Solid understanding of business processes and internal controls.
• Strong skills in process design, documentation, and reporting.
