Global Investigator – APAC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.

📋 Description

• Manage incoming complaint data

• Verify outputs from TRM's AI investigation platform

• Direct cases into investigative processes that lead to the freezing of scam proceeds and the seizure of assets

• Assess complaint outcomes, which may include freezes, takedowns, recovery handoffs, legal process documentation, victim notifications, or case closures

• Validate and allocate hundreds of complaint outcomes weekly

• Recognize false positives, consolidated syndicates, and incorrectly classified scam patterns

• Enhance complaint selectors through over forty commercial data source integrations

• Track funds through consolidation wallets to regulated exchanges or other actionable endpoints

• Ensure smooth shift transitions for continuous operations around the clock

• Provide coverage during EMEA hours while colleagues in other regions are offline

• Collaborate with global teammates on urgent handoffs

• Address complaint surges and live takedown situations

• Continuously acquire knowledge of new patterns in crypto-related crime

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years' investigative or analytical experience in either the public or private sector

• Practical experience in blockchain analysis

• Proven ability to trace funds across various chains and link addresses to real-world entities

• Capability to differentiate between an unattributed service and a privately managed (unhosted) wallet

• Experience in building or contributing to cases that result in freezes, seizures, arrests, or takedowns

• High proficiency in AI and regular use of AI tools

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Willingness and capability to participate in a weekly on-call rotation, including occasional weekend coverage

• Capacity to work outside of US hours with minimal supervision

• Legal authorization to work in the applicant's current country of residence

• Experience in a fully remote work setting is requested in the application form

• Professional experience in cryptocurrency and familiarity with blockchain analytics tools is requested in the application form
