Global Immigration Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the global strategy and policy for immigration.

• Create scalable frameworks and governance that align with DoorDash’s talent and business objectives.

• Supervise global immigration operations, with direct responsibility for US immigration.

• Ensure adherence to compliance, consistency, and operational excellence.

• Manage and develop a team of immigration professionals.

• Collaborate with Legal, Talent Acquisition, People Business Partners, and People Operations.

• Integrate immigration considerations into business planning to facilitate global workforce mobility.

• Propel vendor performance, process enhancements, and scalable initiatives.

• Improve compliance, efficiency, and the overall employee experience.

• Assist with M&A and new market expansion through immigration due diligence.

• Develop solutions for seamless transitions and operational readiness.

• Serve as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor to global stakeholders.

• Report to the Senior Manager, Head of Global Mobility & Immigration.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in global immigration.

• Extensive expertise across various jurisdictions, including the US and EMEA.

• Proven experience leading immigration programs in multinational, fast-paced settings.

• Ability to balance compliance, business enablement, and employee experience.

• Experience in managing and developing immigration professionals.

• Background in driving vendor performance and accountability.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to simplify complexity and work effectively across functions.

• Strategic mindset with strong attention to detail.

• Interest in leveraging new tools, including AI, to improve efficiency, insights, and employee experience.

• Demonstrated integrity, adaptability, and sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
