Global Health and Development Researcher, Grantmaker

📋 Description

• Identify and assess high-impact funding prospects in global health and development.

• Explore specific funding margins, organizations, and programs that can efficiently save and enhance lives.

• Perform thorough evaluations and make multimillion-dollar grant proposals on a monthly basis.

• Broaden the variety of interventions considered, including innovative approaches that necessitate proactive grantmaking.

• Assess direct interventions, research opportunities, micro-interventions, and high-risk/high-reward initiatives.

• Conduct research investigations and comprehensive literature reviews.

• Execute individual inquiries into promising funding prospects.

• Contribute to both internal and external reports and documentation.

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to secure funding for viable opportunities.

• Respond to detailed research inquiries from ultra-high-net-worth donors.

• Report directly to the Global Health & Development Lead.

• Relevant expertise in development economics, public health, cost-effectiveness analysis, medicine, finance, or the hard sciences.

• Exceptional analytical capabilities.

• Comfort in articulating views quantitatively and utilizing systematic quantitative frameworks.

• Ability to comprehend and construct quantitative models.

• Skill in clearly conveying nuanced evidence and complex ideas in writing.

• Strong open-ended research skills, including identifying potential high-impact funding opportunities and relevant academic research, reports, and experts.

• Good self-awareness regarding the limits of personal knowledge.

• Intellectual curiosity and receptiveness to differing perspectives.

• Strong conscientiousness and prioritization abilities.

• Sound judgment in research and reporting decisions.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate honestly and directly.

• Confidence and experience in leading independent research efforts.

• Must reside in the UK, USA (preferably East Coast), or Germany.
