πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Formulate and execute commodity strategies for optical products and suppliers, focusing on technology, quality, supply, and cost targets.

β€’ Assess trends in the optical component market, technological advancements, product pricing, supply conditions, and supplier landscapes.

β€’ Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure commodity strategies align with the organization's goals and objectives.

β€’ Lead negotiations aimed at optimizing the total cost of ownership for optical components throughout their product lifecycle.

β€’ Address critical supply shortages by collaborating with suppliers and EMS partners to ensure a continuous supply chain.

β€’ Identify and manage supply chain risks related to optical components throughout the product lifecycle.

β€’ Develop supplier relationships and conduct regular business reviews to ensure alignment of supplier actions with business goals.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Degree in Engineering and/or Business.

β€’ Over 10 years of experience in optical procurement.

β€’ More than 5 years of experience in Commodity Management and/or Procurement.

β€’ Familiarity with optical technologies, trends in the optical component industry, and supplier ecosystems.

β€’ Experience with optical products, such as lasers, optical receivers, modulators, passive optical components, and transceivers.

β€’ Knowledge of optics manufacturing processes, including optical fabrication, assembly, and testing.

β€’ Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, including R&D, PLM, and Quality, on commodity initiatives.

β€’ In-depth knowledge of optical components, including line cards, WSS & ROADMs, gain blocks, and laser pumps.

β€’ Expertise in defining and implementing supply strategies to mitigate risks and ensure supply continuity.

β€’ Experience in resolving critical supply shortages and enhancing supplier relationships.

β€’ Background in supporting internal stakeholders during the negotiation of legal agreements with suppliers.

β€’ Ability to perform effectively under pressure through effective time management practices.

β€’ Willingness to travel as required.
