Global Client Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main liaison for strategic clients, fostering trusted relationships from operational teams to executive leadership.

• Drive customer-focused strategic initiatives, special projects, and the integration of new business opportunities.

• Function as a strategic consultant for supply chain matters, proposing integrated logistics solutions.

• Establish, track, and enhance Critical Success Factors and Key Performance Indicators in collaboration with customers and Program Management teams.

• Identify opportunities within Ocean, Air, Customs, Warehousing, Domestic Transportation, Supply Chain Management, and Value-Added Services.

• Oversee account profitability and assist with contract renewals.

• Influence cross-functional collaboration among Program Management, Operations, Customer Service, Product, Finance, and Commercial teams.

• Address complex customer issues, manage escalations, and coordinate organizational resources effectively.

• Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts while supporting additional customers and commercial initiatives as business needs change.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain management, shipping, or related fields.

• Strong commercial insight and experience in managing strategic customer relationships within a complex, solution-focused setting.

• A solid understanding of FMCG supply chains and customer environments, especially in the food & beverage, personal care, consumer goods, or pharmaceutical sectors, is highly regarded.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to influence others without direct authority.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools like Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies.

• Industry certifications such as CIFFA or CITT are considered beneficial.

• Must have authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.
