Global Capex Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee and refresh the Global Portfolio Forecast file, guaranteeing the completeness, accuracy, and promptness of data.

• Aggregate monthly actual spending from all segments, align with reported figures, and address any discrepancies.

• Ensure alignment between forecast, actuals, and sanctioned project data.

• Extract and analyze daily PowerSteering reports to monitor newly approved projects.

• Update and manage the central Capex project database.

• Conduct data clean-up and validation tasks within PowerSteering.

• Collaborate with segment engineering and finance teams to ensure timely updates of Capex forecasts.

• Follow up on any missing, outdated, or inconsistent information prior to monthly governance reviews.

• Assist in consolidating inputs for the monthly Capex review cycles.

• Keep track of project approval dates and execution timelines for Time KPI monitoring.

• Aid in the precise measurement of cycle time, approval lead time, and execution performance.

• Contribute to the analysis of portfolio trends through high-quality foundational data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.

• Generally, 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, data management, or project controls.

• Strong expertise in Excel and data management (mandatory).

• Familiarity with PowerSteering, SAP, or comparable systems is advantageous.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and discipline.

• Capability to manage recurring processes, meet deadlines, and handle large volumes of data.

• Effective communication skills to interact with cross-functional and regional stakeholders.
