This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Instruct asynchronous undergraduate and graduate courses tailored for adult learners.
• Provide high-quality and engaging online education.
• Align learning experiences with workforce competencies and professional growth.
• Create supportive and inclusive learning environments for adult students.
• Focus on student learning, achievement, and offer timely feedback.
• Maintain open communication with students and promptly address inquiries.
• Uphold academic integrity and adhere to university regulations.
• Work collaboratively with academic support teams to enhance the student experience.
• Assist with NAEYC accreditation initiatives.
• Design and enhance courses, course materials, and innovative teaching strategies.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, assessment specialists, and other professionals.
• Review, support, and mentor associate faculty members.
• Spearhead continuous curriculum and instructional design improvements.
• Partner with student success, student affairs, library, writing center, access and wellness, academic advising, and career services teams.
• Facilitate students’ connection to the university within an online setting.
• Attend department, college, and university meetings.
• Participate in shared governance activities and committees.
• Engage in search and hiring committees.
• Contribute to accreditation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and support faculty and staff members.
• Take part in the NAEYC self-study process.
• Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child and Family Studies, Curriculum and Instruction, Elementary Education, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated potential or experience indicating adequate training, depth of knowledge in a specific area, and ability to deliver high-quality teaching and service.
• Familiarity with best practices in teaching and learning, including curriculum development and assessment strategies, particularly in virtual settings.
• A collaborative and student-focused approach to leadership and instructional support.
• Commitment to a student-centered Culture of Care, which includes proactive outreach, timely feedback, and personalized support.
• Proven knowledge of the NAEYC Professional Standards and Competencies for Early Childhood Educators, including experience applying these standards to early childhood curriculum, assessment, program development, or continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in utilizing educational technology and learning management systems.
• Ability to analyze student success data and leverage insights to enhance teaching practices and curriculum design.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
