This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
• Analyze spatial data and offer geographic insights.
• Ensure precision in spatial data collection and reporting.
• Address GIS challenges, ranging from integration to configuration.
• Effectively manage multiple GIS projects.
• Investigate emerging GIS technologies and tools.
• Deliver results in the capacity of a GIS Specialist.
• Provide leadership within the team.
• Develop geographic analysis tools in Python utilizing ArcGIS Notebook or Python toolboxes.
• Conduct geoprocessing of geographic data while maintaining topological integrity.
• Generate thematic maps.
• Construct SQL queries for data cleansing or selection.
• Collaborate within a professional, dynamic, and cooperative team environment.
• Engage in multilingual meetings, contributing both independently and as part of a team.
• At least 5 years of comprehensive experience with ArcGIS Pro.
• Minimum of 5 years developing geographic analysis tools in Python using ArcGIS Notebook or Python toolboxes.
• At least 5 years of extensive experience with ArcGIS Spatial Analyst and ArcGIS Online.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in geoprocessing geographic data, ensuring topological integrity, managing coordinate reference systems, and handling metadata.
• At least 5 years of experience in producing thematic maps.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in building SQL queries for data cleaning or selection.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in team leadership.
• Familiarity with GIS methodologies, tools, and technologies such as ArcGIS and QGIS.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with GIS methods, tools, and platforms for spatial analysis and mapping.
• Understanding of geospatial database management, including Oracle.
• Awareness of geospatial data management processes, including modeling, transformation, enrichment, quality assurance, dissemination, and visualization.
• Knowledge of spatial analysis techniques, including computational geometry, network analysis, geo-statistics, photogrammetry, and remote sensing.
• Familiarity with geospatial database technologies and design practices, including UML class diagrams and spatial indexing.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, R, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of cartographic design principles and web mapping technologies.
• Knowledge of geospatial big data management and tools like Geoevent Server.
• Familiarity with web cartography technologies and standards, including HTML, GeoJSON/TopoJSON, SLD, T-WMS, and OGC standards.
• Knowledge of earth observation data operations, including Copernicus, Sentinel, and Landsat.
• Awareness of international GI standards such as ISO, OGC, and INSPIRE.
• Understanding of metadata standards like ISO 19115 and INSPIRE metadata.
• Knowledge of data interoperability practices and APIs.
• Mandatory FME Form Basic certificate or its equivalent.
• Mandatory ArcGIS Pro Associate technical certification or its equivalent.
• Required certifications in Coordinate Systems, Spatial Data, Data Management, ArcGIS Online, Raster Data, and Python.
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
