GIS Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Execute and complete GIS projects that vary from basic to complex scopes and levels of difficulty.

• Develop databases and mapping outputs to facilitate reports and project deliverables.

• Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for the purposes of reporting, analysis, and presentation.

• Conduct quality assurance for GIS data and graphic components.

• Extract and supply GIS data to clients.

• Prepare and maintain both internal and external project documentation, which includes quality control records.

• Collaborate directly with Level I/II/III/IV GIS Specialists and Project Managers.

• Assist field teams in preparing for field mapping, collecting field data, and extracting data.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BA/BS degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• US Citizenship is mandatory.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field is preferred.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to independently manage workload schedules are essential.

• At least 1 year of GIS or other relevant experience, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• Proficiency in ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal, and/or other relevant ArcGIS software.

• Familiarity with the ESRI suite of products.

• Experience with AutoCAD.

• Technical understanding of geographic concepts, including coordinate systems, data collection methods, spatial data management, analysis, data visualization, and cartographic design.
