GIS Developer, Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development and management of geospatial solutions for aviation-related initiatives utilizing the ESRI ArcGIS platform.

• Construct and configure ArcGIS Online applications, which include Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123, and QuickCapture.

• Create and sustain automated data processing workflows and ETL routines using Python, SQL, or similar tools.

• Transfer and prepare geospatial and tabular data from various sources.

• Design and develop ArcGIS Survey123 forms for field data collection.

• Incorporate field data outcomes into enterprise GIS solutions.

• Create and maintain custom web mapping solutions utilizing ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript or other web technologies.

• Design and implement relational database structures, such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS.

• Store and query both spatial and non-spatial data.

• Document technical processes thoroughly.

• Present analytical results effectively.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine project requirements and deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of equivalent experience in Geographical Information Systems, web development, operations research, modeling and simulation, or technical analysis.

• A Bachelor's degree is required, ideally in Geospatial Science, Computer Science, Geography, Urban Development, Data Science, or a related field.

• Must be a US citizen or a legal resident for at least three of the past five years.

• Must fulfill eligibility criteria for a US Public Trust security clearance, including a soft credit check and criminal background check.

• Experience in configuring ArcGIS field applications is necessary.

• Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro is required.

• Experience with ArcGIS Experience Builder and/or Dashboards is essential.

• Familiarity with ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript is preferred.

• Experience in custom web application development is a plus.

• Experience in creating automated workflows and ETL processes using Python is preferred.

• Experience in integrating data from various sources (APIs, cloud storage, flat files) is desired.

• Experience with pSQL/relational databases is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Python, Java, and Power Platform is desired.

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Shiny, Tableau, or Cold Fusion is preferred.

• Specific experience within the FAA or aviation industry is a plus.

• Occasional travel may be required based on client and/or company needs.
