This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Lead offshore accounting operations in Colombia

• Oversee daily accounting functions to generate accurate monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP

• Report directly to the Accounting Director

• Supervise, mentor, train, and guide supervisors and accounting staff

• Coordinate month-end closing procedures and support annual audits

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal financial controls

• Review and approve monthly adjusting and accrual journal entries, daily cash transactions, and property acquisitions

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements, partner/client schedules, and fee schedules

• Oversee lease schedules in accordance with ASC-842

• Record and reconcile investments in associates under GAAP principles and partnership agreements

• Manage ad hoc accounting tasks and strategic projects

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• Over 5 years of experience in general accounting

• Proven experience within the real estate industry, including property-level accounting

• More than 3 years of experience in team management and leadership

• Deep understanding of US GAAP, financial processes, and internal controls

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including handling large data sets and complex calculations

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite

• Familiarity with Yardi

• High level of proficiency in spoken and written English (B2+/C1)
