Finance Accounting Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Deliver routine financial and accounting assistance for a department or business unit

• Manage vendor invoices, payments, employee reimbursements, and other standard accounting transactions

• Prepare and record routine journal entries while ensuring accurate accounting documentation

• Confirm transaction coding, supporting documentation, and adherence to established policies and procedures

• Conduct account reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

• Maintain financial records, vendor files, and supporting documentation following retention requirements

• Aid in audits, reporting tasks, and compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation and information

• Assist with financial data validation along with accounting, controlling, and compliance activities

• Adhere to the Code of Conduct and consistently exemplify organizational values

• Provide support to the Argentina and Chile business units

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field along with 2 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination

• Proficiency in utilizing automated accounting systems

• Familiarity with basic accounting principles or experience in analyzing financial data

• Experience in database management, report generation, or using automated systems and Microsoft Office tools

• Bi-lingual abilities in Spanish and English are preferred

• A working level of reading and writing in English is required

• Keen attention to detail and precision in work output

• Strong organizational skills, including the capability to set priorities and meet deadlines

• Successful completion of The Nature Conservancy's background screening process
