This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios arising from military requirements.
• Deliver personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families at military facilities.
• Assist service members in creating spending plans for prolonged absences.
• Create and distribute educational financial materials.
• Organize, promote, and conduct Personal Financial Management classes and workshops throughout the military lifecycle.
• Address requests for age-appropriate classes and seminars.
• Offer virtual counseling through web-based tools, secure online chat, video communications, or authorized secure video teleconferences.
• Handle duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.
• Communicate with leadership and engage in both individual and group supervision.
• Share insights and trends affecting assigned installations.
• Participate in in-services, training, quality improvement committees, and other contract-related activities.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• An associate degree combined with 4 years of experience may be accepted in place of a bachelor’s degree.
• A high school diploma along with 6 years of experience may also be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial counseling is necessary.
• Candidates must be U.S. citizens.
• Proficiency in spoken English is required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is necessary if stipulated by the contract.
• Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation is required.
• Must successfully complete the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Must possess one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
• A valid in-state driver’s license is required.
• Skills to effectively utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication methods are essential.
