This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Genetic Counselor team in the laboratory to assist clients who request testing conducted at Labcorp’s facilities in Westborough, MA, and San Francisco, CA.

• Assess a specific set of molecular test requisitions and incoming samples to ensure clarity of physician orders.

• Support the molecular lab by overseeing worklists and managing the addition and cancellation of tests.

• Prepare documentation for sendout tests and maintain tracking lists.

• Address phone and email inquiries from Labcorp clients, healthcare providers, and Labcorp’s laboratories and branches to facilitate all relevant genetic testing.

• Reach out to clients to gather essential demographic and clinical information, ensuring the correct testing is requested.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve testing-related issues by communicating with clients or other Labcorp facilities.

• Acquire knowledge of various laboratory-based computer applications.

• Bachelor’s degree in a Biological Science.

• Understanding of genetics concepts.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

• Exceptional multi-tasking skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, along with excellent listening skills to respond effectively.

• High adaptability and flexibility to manage and adjust to shifting priorities swiftly.

• Strong project management capabilities.

• Ability to cultivate and sustain positive working relationships, collaborating effectively to set objectives, resolve issues, and provide recommendations.

• Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM Eastern Time Zone, with rotating Saturdays (approximately 1 Saturday per month).

• Remote work arrangement based in the United States.
