This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Respond to client inquiries via phone, video call, or chat.

• Evaluate client requirements and guide them to the suitable service.

• Offer immediate assistance to clients facing distress or crises.

• Act as the initial point of contact for clients.

• Perform comprehensive assessments for short-term counseling or referrals to internal services.

• Provide individual counseling sessions and manage crisis situations.

• Carry out risk assessments and decide on the implementation of safety plans.

• Handle high-risk scenarios involving suicide, self-harm, child protection, and substance-related challenges.

• Engage with clients in an empathetic, ethical, and professional manner while ensuring confidentiality.

• Maintain accurate and succinct clinical records using the internal platform.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in mental health or a related discipline.

• Fully bilingual and fluent in both French and English, both spoken and written.

• Proficient with technology, including video conferencing, chat, and email.

• Experience in crisis management, risk assessment, and risk mitigation.

• Ability to remain composed and in control during stressful or uncertain situations.

• Strong clinical judgment and a quick assessment ability to identify intervention goals and support clients through a brief, strength-based approach.

• Empathetic with excellent listening and communication skills.

• Outstanding customer service skills with the capability to manage client expectations and respond effectively to their needs.

• Proactive, independent, resourceful, and receptive to feedback.

• Able to excel in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

• Available for overnight shifts from Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Eastern time, including holidays.

• Advanced proficiency in English is required for candidates from Québec.
