This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.
β’ Service and maintain commercial generators located at cell phone towers within the designated area.
β’ Diagnose and repair issues with generators while ensuring their upkeep.
β’ Install and replace parts or complete systems as needed.
β’ Carry out maintenance or enhancements on equipment that is off-season.
β’ Execute performance evaluations and routine maintenance on generators.
β’ Interpret and adhere to blueprints and design specifications for installation and repairs.
β’ Set up fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and other necessary components.
β’ Test equipment to ensure it operates correctly.
β’ Respond swiftly to power or generator alarms.
β’ Address assigned phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
β’ Conduct work safely around hazards related to power supply equipment, switching gear, and similar devices.
β’ Utilize safety gear and adhere to safety protocols.
β’ Attend and engage in designated safety and training sessions.
β’ Specific responsibilities may change based on business and client requirements.
β’ Preferred: Two or more years of experience in generator maintenance.
β’ Minimum of one year of hands-on experience with generator and electrical maintenance-related software, hardware, and processes.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
β’ Familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
β’ Moderate proficiency in computer skills.
β’ Basic understanding of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
β’ Ability to adhere to OSHA Standards.
β’ Capability to lift over 50 pounds, as well as stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for extended periods.
β’ Competence in inspecting and troubleshooting equipment/alarms effectively, both visually and audibly.
β’ Willingness and ability to drive long distances and work during day, evening, or night shifts.
β’ Readiness to work overtime, respond to emergency callouts, and be available on weekends and holidays as necessary.
β’ Must be prepared to assume 24-hour on-call duty when assigned and be away from home for prolonged periods.
β’ Must successfully pass a DOT physical examination.
