This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Oversee the maintenance of generators while diagnosing and resolving issues.
• Install and replace components or complete generator systems.
• Conduct maintenance and enhancements on equipment that is out of season.
• Execute performance assessments and routine maintenance of generators.
• Interpret and adhere to blueprints and design specifications for installations and repairs.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and additional components.
• Test equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Respond swiftly to power/generator alarms.
• Carry out work while ensuring safety around hazards such as falls, electric shock, falling objects, and traffic.
• Utilize safety equipment and implement safety practices.
• Participate in scheduled safety and training meetings.
• Service and repair commercial generators located on cell phone towers within the designated region.
• At least one year of relevant experience with generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.
• Preference for candidates with two or more years of experience in generator maintenance.
• Comprehensive understanding of generator installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Moderate computer proficiency.
• Basic understanding of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Capacity to adhere to OSHA standards.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds, as well as stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for extended periods.
• Skill in visually and audibly inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and alarms.
• Willingness and ability to drive long distances and work flexible hours, including days, evenings, or nights.
• Preparedness to work overtime, respond to emergency callouts, and work on weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to be on-call 24/7 when assigned and remain away from home for extended durations.
• Must successfully pass a DOT physical examination.
