This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Oversee the maintenance of generators and identify as well as resolve issues.
• Install or replace generator components or complete systems as necessary.
• Carry out additional maintenance or upgrades on equipment during off-peak seasons.
• Perform regular maintenance and performance evaluations to ensure generators are ready for use.
• Interpret and adhere to blueprints and design specifications during installation and repair tasks.
• Set up fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and other essential components.
• Conduct tests on equipment to verify proper functionality.
• Quickly respond to power or generator alarm notifications.
• Promptly address assigned phone calls and emails.
• Adhere to safety protocols and utilize safety gear consistently.
• Participate in mandatory safety and training sessions.
• Service and repair commercial generators located on cell phone towers within the designated area.
• At least one year of substantial work experience related to generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.
• Preferred: Two or more years of experience in generator maintenance.
• Comprehensive understanding of generator installation, maintenance, and repair processes.
• Familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical system components.
• Moderate proficiency in computer usage.
• Basic understanding of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Capability to adhere to OSHA Standards.
• Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds, and perform tasks such as stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Skill in visually and audibly inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and alarms.
• Willingness and capability to drive long distances and work during the day, evening, or night shifts.
• Flexibility to work overtime, respond to emergency callouts, and be available on weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to take on a 24-hour on-call duty when assigned and be away from home for prolonged durations.
• Must successfully pass a DOT physical examination.
