This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the maintenance of generators, identify and resolve issues, install or replace components or entire systems, and carry out maintenance or upgrades.
• Perform performance evaluations and routine maintenance to ensure generators are operational.
• Interpret and adhere to blueprints or other design specifications for installation and repair tasks.
• Set up fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, along with other necessary components.
• Test installed components and systems to confirm they operate correctly.
• React swiftly to power or generator alarms.
• Respond to assigned phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
• Conduct work safely while navigating installation and maintenance hazards.
• Utilize safety equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Participate in designated safety and training meetings.
• Service and repair commercial generators on cellular towers within the assigned region.
• Travel as necessary; specific responsibilities may change based on business and client requirements.
• At least one year of substantial work experience involving generator and electrical maintenance-related software, hardware, and processes.
• Preferably two or more years of experience in generator maintenance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair practices.
• Familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Moderate proficiency in computer skills.
• Basic understanding of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Capability to adhere to OSHA Standards.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds, as well as stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for extended periods.
• Competence in inspecting and/or troubleshooting equipment and alarms effectively, both visually and audibly.
• Willingness and ability to drive long distances and work during day, evening, or night hours.
• Readiness to work overtime, respond to emergency callouts, and be available on weekends and holidays as needed.
• Capacity to take on 24-hour on-call duties when assigned and be away from home for extended durations.
• Must successfully pass a DOT physical examination.
