This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Service and repair commercial generators located on cell phone towers within the designated region.
• Maintain generators by diagnosing and resolving issues, as well as installing or replacing components or entire systems.
• Conduct additional maintenance or upgrades on equipment that is out of season.
• Execute performance checks and regular maintenance to ensure generators are ready for operation.
• Read and adhere to blueprints or other design specifications for installations and repairs.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, along with other necessary components.
• Test installed components to ensure proper functionality.
• Respond promptly to power and generator alarms.
• Quickly answer assigned phone calls and emails.
• Operate safely around hazards related to power supply equipment, switchgear, and similar apparatus.
• Utilize safety equipment and adhere to safety practices.
• Attend and engage in designated safety and training meetings.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as business and client needs change.
• At least one year of significant work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.
• Preference for candidates with two or more years of generator maintenance experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of generator installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Moderate computer proficiency.
• Basic understanding of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Ability to adhere to OSHA standards.
• Capability to lift over 50 pounds, as well as stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for extended durations.
• Skill in inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and alarms effectively, both visually and audibly.
• Willingness and ability to drive long distances and work during day, evening, or night hours.
• Readiness to work overtime, respond to emergency callouts, and be available on weekends and holidays as necessary.
• Ability to be on-call for 24 hours when assigned.
• Willingness to be away from home for extended periods.
• Must successfully pass a DOT physical examination.
