This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee generator maintenance, troubleshoot and resolve issues, install or replace components or entire systems, and carry out maintenance or upgrades.
• Perform performance evaluations and routine maintenance to guarantee generator readiness.
• Interpret and adhere to blueprints or design specifications for installation and repairs.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and other components; ensure proper functionality through testing.
• Respond promptly to power/generator alerts as well as phone and email communications assigned.
• Engage in 24/7 on-call duties when required.
• Execute work safely in the presence of installation and maintenance hazards, utilizing safety equipment and practices, and participate in safety and training sessions.
• Service and repair commercial generators located on cell phone towers within the designated area.
• Travel long distances and work during day, evening, or night hours, including overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• At least one year of substantial work-related experience in generator and electrical maintenance-related software, hardware, and processes.
• Preferred experience of two or more years in generator maintenance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Understanding of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Moderate proficiency with computer skills.
• Basic familiarity with relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Capability to comply with OSHA standards.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds, and to stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for extended durations.
• Competence in visually and audibly inspecting and troubleshooting equipment/alarms.
• Willingness and capability to drive long distances and work varied hours, including overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to take on 24-hour on-call responsibilities and be away from home for extended periods.
