General Manager – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the strategy and roadmap for the GoMining platform.

• Develop and manage a scalable shared platform that serves multiple GoMining products.

• Determine which capabilities should be centralized versus managed by individual product teams.

• Prioritize investments in the platform based on technical risk and business impact.

• Work closely with product General Managers and C-level executives.

• Responsible for uptime, availability, latency, reliability, SLAs, operational performance, incidents, post-incident improvements, release stability, engineering performance, and DORA metrics.

• Identify technical bottlenecks before they escalate into critical business issues.

• Manage shared authentication, registration, authorization, 2FA, user restrictions, account controls, integrations, analytics events, native applications, common product infrastructure, and design-system capabilities.

• Comprehend platform dependencies across business lines and address high-priority platform requests that impact revenue or customer experience.

• Balance urgent commercial demands with long-term technical and security priorities.

• Establish clear prioritization mechanisms for internal stakeholders.

• Evaluate the Platform based on technical performance and its capability to enhance the overall company.

• Integrate security into the platform architecture and engineering processes.

• Collaborate with Security, Risk, and relevant teams; lead platform-level security initiatives.

• Enhance authentication, authorization, access controls, and platform resilience.

• Utilize AI tools and agents on a daily basis and implement AI-assisted workflows across engineering, specifications, analytics, QA, and operations.

• Guide the engineering team alongside the Tech Lead.

• Oversee priorities, backlog, releases, incidents, delivery, metrics, hiring, development, and team performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience leading platform, infrastructure, or platform engineering teams.

• Background in building shared infrastructure utilized by multiple products or engineering teams.

• Practical knowledge of uptime, reliability, incidents, security, and high-load systems.

• Strong grasp of platform architecture and integrations.

• Experience with authentication, authorization, shared services, or similar platform functionalities.

• Ability to balance technical priorities with urgent business requirements.

• Strong product and commercial orientation.

• Effective communication skills with both engineers and business leaders.

• Experience managing engineering teams and ensuring timely delivery.

• Strong data-driven mindset.

• Hands-on experience using AI tools and agents.

• Relevant experience in fintech, crypto, gaming, hosting, or other high-load technology environments is highly advantageous.
