This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus, +5 more countries.
β’ Take full ownership of the Cards business from inception to execution, overseeing strategy, P&L, budget, and roadmap.
β’ Define and oversee the financial aspects of the card program.
β’ Manage total payment volume (TPV), active cards, customer spending, retention, and monetization.
β’ Create financial models that encompass revenue, card issuance costs, processing fees, customer margins, and lifetime value (LTV).
β’ Identify and act on opportunities to enhance profitability and boost customer engagement.
β’ Present strategic direction, performance metrics, and key decisions directly to C-level executives.
β’ Oversee the complete customer journey for cardholders, from onboarding and issuance to activation and routine spending.
β’ Develop both virtual and physical card offerings.
β’ Manage subscription models, cashback incentives, and other card-related features.
β’ Work to improve activation rates and drive increased customer spending.
β’ Collaborate with Compliance to streamline onboarding and KYC processes.
β’ Oversee the customer experience related to card services and identify any friction points.
β’ Maintain relationships with issuing, processing, Banking as a Service (BaaS), and other card infrastructure partners.
β’ Manage integrations, operational dependencies, commercial negotiations, and critical incidents with providers.
β’ Minimize vendor lock-in while ensuring dependable operations as the card business expands.
β’ Optimize unit economics, transaction volumes, customer engagement, retention rates, and LTV.
β’ Collaborate with Growth and Marketing teams on initiatives for acquisition, activation, and retention.
β’ Lead the engineering team focused on the Cards strategy.
β’ Work closely with the Tech Lead on architecture and project delivery.
β’ Manage the roadmap, set priorities, oversee the backlog, plan releases, and address key incidents.
β’ Recruit and develop team members as necessary.
β’ Foster a high-speed, data-driven execution culture.
β’ Implement AI and automation in product development, analytics, specifications, quality assurance, and operational procedures.
β’ Extensive end-to-end experience with card products.
β’ Familiarity with issuing, processing, BaaS, or card infrastructure.
β’ Proven experience in launching or scaling a card program.
β’ Deep understanding of card unit economics.
β’ Proficient in modeling customer margins, transaction economics, issuance costs, and LTV.
β’ Experience negotiating with card providers.
β’ Ability to manage dependencies on external providers, ideally with a focus on reducing vendor lock-in.
β’ Strong product and commercial acumen.
β’ Previous experience managing revenue or P&L is highly desirable.
β’ Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.
β’ Technical proficiency and capability to collaborate directly with engineering teams.
β’ Experience leading product or engineering teams.
β’ Relevant experience in fintech, neobanking, payments, crypto cards, wallets, or exchanges is a plus.
