General Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of P&L and act as the primary champion for team development across select markets.

• Establish ongoing strategies to enhance revenue and city profitability by ensuring vehicles are appropriately ready and positioned.

• Supervise in-region KPIs.

• Lead or participate in cross-functional strategic workgroups aimed at improving operational capabilities.

• Manage a team of at least five individuals focused on achieving forecasted objectives and business results.

• Promote professional development through regular feedback and honest communication.

• Make critical decisions regarding the business portfolio, driving both top-line revenue growth and bottom-line city profitability.

• Cultivate relationships with city stakeholders while striving for beneficial outcomes for Bird.

• Lead or influence cross-functional initiatives and special projects across various domains, including hardware, product, supply chain, inventory, growth, customer experience, support, government relations, and sales.

• Oversee operational roles reporting to the GM, concentrating on field-marketing customer experience, regulatory compliance, utilization, growth initiatives, and inventory management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

• 7+ years of experience in operations, strategy, supply chain, and/or consulting.

• 5+ years of experience in people management.

• Ability to lead and influence within a cross-collaborative environment.

• Data-driven mindset, ensuring effective outcomes through data-informed decision-making.

• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.

• Prior experience in building productive relationships with municipal and regulatory stakeholders is highly preferred.

• Proven success in managing large-scale physical inventories or distributed hardware networks is highly preferred.

• Previous experience in micromobility, logistics, or transportation-as-a-service sectors is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated capacity to lead teams and carry out complex tasks in high-pressure or fast-paced settings is highly preferred.

• An advanced business degree (MBA) or a solid history of building and scaling ventures from the ground up is highly preferred.
