General Ledger Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Accurately process invoices in a timely manner while engaging with suppliers to address any invoice-related inquiries and discrepancies.

• Prepare and post recurring and one-time journal entries for various legal entities in line with accounting policies.

• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts across multiple currencies and accounts, promptly investigating and resolving any reconciling items.

• Reconcile PayPal transactions and address outstanding balances to ensure all records are complete and accurate.

• Process and account for logistics, handling, and warehousing invoices from several suppliers.

• Review, process, and accurately record Amazon fee invoices in a timely manner.

• Maintain, reconcile, and oversee BOL accounts, ensuring precise accounting and swift resolution of discrepancies.

• Perform reconciliations for Shopify accounts, confirming that transactions are accurately recorded and supported.

• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting deadlines.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and Finance, to resolve accounting challenges and enhance processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a General Ledger, Financial Accountant, or comparable accounting role, preferably within a multi-entity or international environment.

• Solid understanding of month-end close procedures, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.

• Experience in processing high-volume transactions, including AP invoices, bank reconciliations, and payment platform reconciliations (experience with PayPal, Shopify, or Amazon is a plus).

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, capable of prioritizing tasks and consistently meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• A collaborative and proactive problem-solver who enjoys enhancing processes and working cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT.
