General Education Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the lead educator and primary instructor for the designated teaching area.

• Conduct engaging live lessons through web conferences utilizing research-supported teaching methods.

• Achieve student success, foster a positive culture, and meet state-specific academic accountability standards.

• Set up courses within the Learning Management System.

• Oversee student progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback on assignments and grades.

• Maintain regular contact with each student.

• Work alongside the Principal to develop and distribute reports on student progress.

• Analyze student-level data to refine the instructional program.

• Tailor instruction to accommodate the diverse needs of all students.

• Implement research-informed practices in both synchronous and asynchronous teaching.

• Employ a blend of online 21st-century curriculum and conventional teaching methods.

• Foster a positive, nurturing, and supportive classroom atmosphere.

• Integrate culturally responsive teaching strategies in lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Enforce school-wide cultural expectations and norms.

• Maintain regular communication with families regarding students’ academic and social-emotional development.

• Incorporate 21st-century technology skills within classroom and team environments.

• Collaborate and engage with colleagues.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active state teaching license in the relevant content area.

• Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.

• Minimum of two years of teaching experience (preferred).

• Comfort in a growth-oriented coaching environment that includes observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress assessment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook.

• Capability to effectively manage confidential information.

• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.

• Experience in a multicultural setting (preferred).

• Eligibility restricted to residents of Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, North Dakota, Oregon, and West Virginia.
