This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Investigate claims related to insurance or other companies concerning personal, casualty, or property loss or damage.
• Independently manage complex local losses within designated authority limits.
• Provide assistance with larger claims, including those based on accounting, such as business interruption and inventory losses.
• Review claim forms and documentation to assess insurance coverage.
• Conduct interviews, telephone communications, or correspondence with claimants and witnesses.
• Consult police and hospital records and assess property damage to establish company liability.
• Estimate costs for repairs, replacements, or compensation.
• Compile findings reports and negotiate settlements with claimants.
• Recommend litigation through the legal department when negotiations for settlement fail.
• Attend litigation hearings as necessary.
• Adjust case reserves in assigned claims files to accommodate anticipated costs.
• Aid in the preparation of loss experience reports and determine appropriate future rates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Support the quality initiatives of the organization.
• Travel as needed.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Must possess the IIA-AIC designation.
• Actively pursuing another professional insurance designation is required.
• A valid state adjuster license is necessary.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
• Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Proven commitment to timely reporting.

• Good time management and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

• Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to kneel, squat, or bend as needed.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, both hot and cold.
• Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead.
• Capable of lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Able to push or pull loads up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to drive for up to 4 hours each day.
• Requires continuous manual dexterity.
• Must have adequate hearing, vision, and verbal communication abilities.
