This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Process and reconcile daily banking transactions across various entities using Xero.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and general ledger records, including invoices, bills, and expenses.
• Conduct reconciliations for bank and credit card transactions while monitoring outstanding accounts receivable.
• Review and allocate transactions to the appropriate entities and charts of accounts.
• Investigate and resolve unreconciled, duplicate, or incorrectly recorded items.
• Keep supporting documentation for all financial transactions organized and accessible.
• Assist with intercompany transactions, loans, and month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process and review property management transactions in PropertyMe, including rent, fees, and disbursements.
• Reconcile PropertyMe transactions with bank activity and Xero records.
• Review property-related income and correctly allocate it to landlords and properties.
• Support property management portfolio reporting activities.
• Investigate reconciliation issues in PropertyMe and collaborate with the Property Management team.
• Maintain financial records for landlords and properties within PropertyMe.
• Assist in the preparation and review of Xero Payroll, including timesheets, leave, allowances, deductions, and payroll changes.
• Support superannuation reconciliation and the preparation of payment documentation.
• Maintain payroll schedules and employee financial records accurately.
• Assist with reconciliations related to salary sacrifice and employee deductions.
• Support payroll processes for month-end and year-end reporting.
• Assist with monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reconciliations, as well as month-end schedules.
• Review GST coding and assist with GST transaction reviews and BAS preparation.
• Support compliance schedules related to PAYG, payroll tax, and other tax obligations.
• Prepare necessary documentation for accountants, auditors, and external advisors.
• Maintain organized tax and compliance records in accordance with ATO record-keeping requirements.
• Monitor finance inboxes and address supplier and internal accounting inquiries promptly.
• Request missing invoices, receipts, and supporting documents as needed.
• Maintain supplier and payment information in Xero and related systems.
• Assist with processing payments and managing approval workflows.
• Provide support to the Financial Controller with ad-hoc accounting and finance tasks.
• Previous bookkeeping or general accounting experience, preferably within an Australian context.
• Hands-on experience with Xero, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and accounts payable/accounts receivable.
• Experience with PropertyMe or a comparable property management system is preferred.
• Familiarity with trust/property accounting workflows is highly regarded.
• Must have self-provided equipment.
• Computer specifications: at least 8GB RAM, 512GB HDD/SSD, and an Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 (12th generation or newer) processor.
• Operating system: Windows 11 Home or Pro.
• Power backup solution such as a power station, power bank, or UPS required.
• Secondary/external monitor is necessary.
• Noise-canceling headset and webcam are essential for communication.
• Minimum internet speed of 40–50 Mbps for both download and upload is required.
• BIR self-registration and necessary government contributions must be completed.
• Submission of NBI or Police Clearance and a government-issued ID is necessary.
• Ability to work from 7 AM to 4 PM MNL time, Monday to Friday.
• Submission of English proficiency test results is required.
• Completion of a personality test is needed.
• A 1–2 minute self-introduction video in English must be submitted.
• A dual-monitor setup is requested for optimal performance.
• Work-from-home location should be quiet, spacious, and capable of being closed off.
• Willingness to adhere to IT, security, system-monitoring, and productivity protocols is essential.
• References from a previous employer or supervisor are required.
