GCP Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Create robust, secure, and optimized architectures on GCP, including landing zones, project and folder organization, IAM, VPC Service Controls, and hybrid connectivity.

• Establish reusable architectural patterns and set GCP technical standards.

• Make informed technology decisions considering cost, security, compliance, and operational constraints.

• Provide technical direction during the scoping, building, and production deployment stages.

• Develop and implement migration strategies, including assessment, wave planning, and execution.

• Assist client teams in enhancing their capabilities and adopting best practices.

• Contribute to the technical drafting of responses for proposals, cost estimates, and workload planning.

• Present and advocate for proposals during client presentations.

• Technically assess client requirements and create proposed roadmaps.

• Develop and enhance packaged cloud offerings.

• Create accelerators such as hardened Terraform modules, a reference landing zone, a FinOps framework, and migration toolkits.

• Participate in structuring the Cloud practice and documenting lessons learned.

• Lead the technical community during weekly vertical meetings and monthly practice meetings.

• Engage in technical recruitment interviews and candidate assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree, engineering degree, or equivalent qualification.

• A minimum of 6 years of experience, including at least 3 years working with Google Cloud Platform.

• Extensive expertise in GCP components such as Compute, GKE, networking (VPC, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud NAT), IAM, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Cloud Logging/Monitoring.

• Proficiency in Terraform is essential; knowledge of Config Connector or Pulumi is an advantage.

• Experience with Kubernetes/GKE and Helm.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Cloud Build, GitLab CI, or similar.

• Strong understanding of cloud security, including advanced IAM, secrets management, encryption, VPC Service Controls, and Security Command Center.

• Scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash.

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification is required or must be obtained within 6 months of joining.

• Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Professional Cloud Network Engineer certification is a plus.

• Knowledge of an additional cloud provider, such as AWS or Azure, is highly advantageous.

• Ability to clearly explain complex concepts and influence stakeholders effectively.
