GCP Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Facilitate architecture workshops with client and partner stakeholders.

• Create and document comprehensive GCP architecture and target-state solutions.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.

• Design data ingestion and processing frameworks utilizing Dataflow, Healthcare API/FHIR, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Firestore, and Redis.

• Develop analytics architectures leveraging BigQuery and GCS.

• Plan and secure implementations for FHIR Store and Consent API.

• Define orchestration processes using Cloud Composer/Airflow and Artifact Registry.

• Establish security patterns for IAM, Secret Manager, and Cloud KMS.

• Create hybrid connectivity solutions using Cloud Interconnect and ensure secure private connectivity.

• Design API integration strategies with IBM APIC or Apigee.

• Define strategies for resilience, backup, multi-region support, and disaster recovery.

• Collaborate with observability and security teams.

• Develop roadmaps for implementation and migration from current-state to target-state.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in GCP Cloud Architecture.

• Hands-on proficiency with BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run, Cloud Composer, GCS, Cloud SQL, Firestore, and Memorystore/Redis.

• Strong expertise in Terraform for multi-project GCP provisioning, encompassing VPC, IAM, Interconnect, service accounts, and organization policies.

• Experience with Cloud Build or Jenkins/GitLab CI, including container pipelines, Artifact Registry, and GitOps practices.

• In-depth knowledge of Cloud Interconnect, IAM, Secret Manager, Cloud KMS, Private Service Connect, and perimeter security measures.

• Experience with IBM API Connect (APIC) or Apigee, along with B2B API integrations.

• Familiarity with hybrid identity solutions and GCP IAM integration.

• Proven experience supporting various external integrations and API consumers.

• Ability to develop architecture roadmaps from current-state to target-state.

• Excellent communication and skills in facilitating stakeholder workshops.

• Google Professional Cloud Architect certification – required.

• Preferred: Experience with Cloud Healthcare API, FHIR R4, HL7v2, EMPI/MPI.

• Preferred: Knowledge of healthcare interoperability and data governance.

• Preferred: Experience in multi-region disaster recovery/resilience and backup architecture.

• Preferred: Familiarity with tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, Wiz, CrowdStrike, and ServiceNow.

• Preferred: Experience with monolith-to-microservices transformation.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Pub/Sub for event-driven data ingestion.

• Preferred: Experience with GKE/Kubernetes.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Dataplex and DLP for the classification, lineage, and masking of PHI/PII.
