GCM Relationship Manager II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Manage client relationships and oversee the daily administration of assigned Global Capital Markets accounts.

• Supervise administrative, operational, risk management, cash flow, fee billing, reporting, and tickler-processing activities for assigned transactions.

• Monitor systems, databases, and account activities to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines.

• Review, analyze, and provide feedback on operative documents and agreements for assigned accounts.

• Coordinate risk monitoring and regulatory compliance with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit departments.

• Investigate and resolve control and client service challenges.

• Collaborate with attorneys, financial advisors, interested parties, and service partners to structure and finalize GCM transactions.

• Engage in sales calls, prepare fee proposals, assess fees, and track aged receivables.

• Foster relationships with current and prospective clients and referral sources to discover new business opportunities.

• Identify and implement approved fee adjustments, discounts, and waivers in line with established controls.

• Provide coverage and support for other Relationship Managers.

• Represent GCM and/or lead departmental projects and corporate initiatives.

• Assist management in the development of business products and processes.

• May oversee and/or mentor less experienced associates.

• Ensure compliance with risk, regulatory, and internal-control standards and escalate risk issues to management.

• Promote inclusion and embody the M&T Bank brand.

• Implement internal and external audit recommendations and address issues raised by external regulators.

• Complete other related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of client service experience in Global Capital Markets products or markets, OR a combined total of 6 years of higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years of client service experience in Global Capital Markets products or markets.

• High proficiency in using personal computers and relevant software.

• Prior experience in reading, analyzing, and interpreting legal documents.

• Experience in calculating amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

• Familiarity with corporate structures, relevant laws, and regulations.

• Proven ability to solve problems effectively.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent analytical skills.

• CCTS (Certified Corporate Trust Specialist) certification is preferred.

• Working knowledge of relevant specialized internal software applications is preferred.

• Managerial or leadership experience is preferred.

• Demonstrated sense of ownership in jobs or projects is preferred.
