Garnishment Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Examine and verify incoming garnishment orders, wage attachments, levies, and associated legal documents.

• Assess necessary actions, deadlines, and required documentation.

• Collaborate with Payroll Specialists to accurately implement garnishments in payroll systems.

• Ensure prompt, precise, and compliant communication with employees.

• Address employee inquiries and escalate intricate or legal issues when necessary.

• Oversee agency correspondence and court notifications.

• Manage garnishment amendments, suspensions, releases, and terminations.

• Respond to demand letters, agency requests, and inquiries related to garnishments.

• Review and modify payroll records to reflect changes in garnishment orders.

• Maintain thorough and organized documentation for all garnishment activities.

• Monitor outstanding orders, responses, and agency requests to avoid missed deadlines.

• Report discrepancies and potential compliance issues to management.

• Provide monthly reports on garnishments and visibility to clients.

• Partner with Payroll Specialists and client teams to address garnishment-related challenges.

• Communicate proactively regarding status updates, delays, missing information, and items needing additional attention.

• Suggest improvements for garnishment processes, procedures, and documentation.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll, garnishment administration, HR, legal administration, or a related field is preferred.

• Background in managing garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, creditor garnishments, or other wage attachments.

• Familiarity with federal and state wage garnishment regulations.

• Experience in a managed payroll setting, payroll service bureau, or multi-client environment.

• Proficient in working with various payroll platforms.

• Strong grasp of payroll processes and wage deductions.

• Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the capability to handle multiple deadlines efficiently.

• Ability to interpret and adhere to detailed legal and procedural documentation.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to work independently while effectively collaborating with internal staff, external clients, and agencies.

• Strong problem-solving skills and follow-through capability.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive employee and legal information.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

• Capability to learn and navigate payroll and case-management systems.

• Willingness to sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer.

• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

• Must be able to participate in video conferences and meetings.
