This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the Division Funding Director, Funding Manager, Funding Supervisor, Branch Manager, Rehabilitation Technology Supplier, and office support staff to execute operational procedures.
• Conduct thorough reviews of orders for accuracy and educate Funding Specialists when discrepancies are found.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of durable medical equipment, company policies and procedures, and relevant insurance guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Oversee the transaction cycle time from Coding and Pricing Complete to Documentation Complete.
• Provide support to Funding Specialists during PTO, leaves, open positions, and other recognized needs.
• Communicate with referral sources, physicians, therapists, RTSs, and clients to obtain necessary documentation.
• Request, collect, review, and verify funding package documentation and insurance coverage.
• Convey benefits, coverage, financial responsibilities, and hardship processes to clients.
• Manage funding-related relationships and communications with both internal and external customers.
• Follow document collection escalation protocols and coordinate necessary process changes.
• Investigate documentation requirements from payers and resolve issues in the funding process.
• Complete Funding tasks including Coding and Pricing, Submissions, Authorization collection, PPQA, and Delivery Verifications.
• Provide direction, instructions, and guidance to staff members.
• Document best practices, identify training opportunities, and coordinate improvements or UPD updates.
• Facilitate problem-solving and collaborative efforts.
• Inspire and recognize team members for their contributions.
• Assist in addressing customer complaints, billing issues, and payer correspondence.
• Support performance monitoring and evaluation initiatives.
• Communicate team status, task achievements, and directions to management.
• Conduct routine audits to identify coaching opportunities and ensure high staff performance.
• Assist with temporary branch processing needs and new business acquisitions.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
• At least 3 years of experience in Durable Medical Equipment and/or Complex Rehab Technology is required.
• Prior experience in all facets of a Funding Specialist’s role, including processing Repairs and Non-Repairs, is preferred.
• Extensive understanding of the processes and insurance guidelines necessary to secure funding for Durable Medical Equipment and/or Complex Rehab Technology.
• Comprehensive knowledge of insurance verification procedures for DME.
• Experience with applications such as Mobility Advisor or data management systems is required.

• Proficient in computer and technology skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Excel spreadsheets and formulas, as well as Outlook email, is required.
• Ability to manage and develop team members remotely.
• Capability to read, analyze, and interpret general business reports, technical procedures, work instructions, and governmental regulations.
• Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and training materials.
• Ability to effectively present information and address questions from various staff members.
• Basic understanding of professional and industry standards, along with a willingness to learn and adopt them.
