Functional Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist in the complete testing life cycle.

• Analyze software requirements and create test scenarios.

• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of requirements and formulate detailed test plans.

• Create comprehensive test cases, test scripts, and test data based on functional specifications and user stories.

• Conduct system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.

• Execute manual test cases to detect defects and ensure software quality.

• Record defects, work with development teams to prioritize and rectify them, and retest the fixes.

• Document test outcomes, compile test summary reports, and relay findings to stakeholders.

• Keep precise records of test cases, test scripts, and test data.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synchronize on project objectives and requirements.

• Follow QA processes and uphold quality best practices.

• Assist in defining new product/service business case justifications and evaluate proposed client benefits.

• Analyze test results for impacts on the database, errors, bugs, and usability.

• Report testing results to design teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Manual/Functional/System testing.

• Understanding of the US Healthcare system, particularly in Provider and Claims.

• Experience in functional testing within US Healthcare Claims processing.

• Familiarity with functional testing in Prior Authorization workflows.

• Proficiency in SQL queries and stored procedures.

• Experience with any automation testing tool.

• Strong analytical, reasoning, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication abilities with customers, support staff, management, and project stakeholders.
