
Functional Project Manager – Accounting Migration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Organize, prepare, and lead meetings with accounting firms, from project initiation to post-project evaluation.
• Assess business requirements based on field insights and migration experiences.
• Draft documentation and user stories.
• Conduct workshops and webinars.
• Ensure that migrations adhere to a clear, documented methodology.
• Tailor the approach to each scenario while maintaining compliance with established procedures.
• Articulate how technical solutions meet business requirements.
• Act as the information liaison with the Back PSS team responsible for integration, troubleshooting, and controls.
• Assist in configuring Pennylane to align with the operational processes of accounting firms.
• Engage in functional testing prior to migration.
• Collaborate on identifying and resolving business issues post-migration.
• Perform intermediate and final functional tests.
• Aid in the creation of post-migration reports and suggest enhancements.
• Recognize and prioritize needs for automation and optimization.
• Keep abreast of product and industry advancements.
• Propose improvements and report any discrepancies or malfunctions.
• Help convert business requirements into actionable solutions.
• Comprehend the challenges faced by the Back PSS team and provide occasional production support as required.
• Educational background in Accounting: University Diploma in Management (IUT GEA), Higher Technician Certificate in Accounting and Management (BTS CGO), Accounting and Management Diploma (DCG), Advanced Accounting and Management Diploma (DSCG), or a Master’s degree in Accounting, Control, and Audit (CCA).
• Experience working in an accounting firm.
• Previous experience with one or more migrations is advantageous.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Adaptability to rapid changes in product offerings.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about Pennylane’s functional advancements.
• Minimum A2 level proficiency in English.
