Functional Project Manager – Accounting Migration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Organize, prepare, and lead meetings with accounting firms, from the initiation of projects through to the lessons learned phase.

• Evaluate business requirements based on field feedback and experiences during migration.

• Create documentation and user stories.

• Lead workshops and webinars.

• Ensure that migrations adhere to a well-defined and documented process.

• Tailor the approach to each situation while maintaining compliance with existing processes.

• Communicate how technical solutions correspond with business needs.

• Serve as the information intermediary with the PSS Back team, overseeing integration, fixes, and quality control.

• Assist in configuring Pennylane according to the business processes of accounting firms.

• Engage in functional testing prior to migration.

• Work collaboratively on troubleshooting and resolving business issues post-migration.

• Conduct both interim and final functional tests.

• Contribute to post-migration reports and suggest enhancements.

• Identify and prioritize needs for automation and optimization.

• Participate in the implementation of these needs through documentation, feedback, or concrete proposals.

• Monitor user satisfaction among business users following each change.

• Stay informed about product and business developments.

• Propose enhancements and report any gaps or malfunctions.

• Transform business requirements into actionable solutions.

• Understand the challenges of the PSS Back team and provide occasional production support as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Educational background in accounting: University Diploma in Business Administration (IUT GEA), Advanced Technician Certificate in Accounting and Management (BTS CGO), French Accounting Diploma (DCG), Higher French Accounting Diploma (DSCG), or a Master’s degree in Accounting, Control, and Auditing (CCA).

• Experience working in an accounting firm.

• Prior experience with one or more migrations is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong customer service orientation and relationship management skills.

• Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Adaptability to rapid product changes.

• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with Pennylane’s functional advancements.

• Proficiency in English at A2 level or higher.
