
Functional Project Manager – Accounting Migration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Organize, prepare, and lead meetings with accounting firms, from the initiation of projects through to post-project evaluations.
• Assess business requirements based on feedback from the field and prior migration experiences.
• Create documentation and user stories.
• Facilitate workshops and webinars.
• Oversee migration projects by ensuring a transparent, well-documented process.
• Adjust strategies to suit various situations while adhering to established processes.
• Communicate how technical solutions align with business requirements.
• Act as the communication bridge to the Back PSS team responsible for integration, fixes, and quality assurance.
• Assist in configuring Pennylane to align with accounting firms’ operational processes.
• Engage in functional testing prior to migration.
• Collaborate on troubleshooting and resolving business challenges post-migration.
• Conduct interim and final functional assessments.
• Contribute to post-migration documentation and recommend enhancements.
• Identify and prioritize needs for automation and optimization.
• Keep track of product and industry advancements.
• Propose improvements and report any gaps or malfunctions.
• Assist in converting business requirements into actionable solutions.
• Recognize the challenges faced by the Back PSS team and occasionally provide support for production operations as needed.
• Educational background or qualification in accounting: University Diploma in Business Administration (IUT GEA), Accounting Management Technician Certificate (BTS CGO), Accounting and Management Diploma (DCG), Higher Accounting and Management Diploma (DSCG), or a Master’s degree in Accounting, Control, and Audit (CCA).
• Experience within an accounting firm, preferably with involvement in one or more migration projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Ability to comprehend client requirements and foster trusted relationships.
• Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptability to the fast-paced evolution of the product.
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and staying updated with Pennylane’s functional advancements.
• Minimum A2 level proficiency in English.
