Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients, which include evaluating medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and administering diagnostic tests.

• Create individualized treatment strategies tailored to the specific needs and medical conditions of patients.

• Prescribe nutraceuticals and/or medications, while monitoring their efficacy over time.

• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.

• Offer counseling and education to patients focused on disease prevention and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.

• Keep precise and current patient records utilizing electronic health record systems.

• Remain informed about advancements in medicine, research, and clinical trials within functional, integrative, and lifestyle medicine.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of two years' experience in functional medicine, including conducting functional medicine specialty testing and labs.

• Preferred experience in settings focused on functional and integrative medicine.

• NP/APRN qualification with a focus on Functional Medicine, Hormone Health, Anti-Aging, or Lifestyle Medicine.

• Must possess (or be eligible to obtain) an IL APRN license and any necessary remote location determinations.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the capacity to collaborate and engage effectively with patients and other healthcare providers.

• Dynamic and sociable personality with a strong desire to assist others.

• Commitment to a patient-first approach and the ability to consistently deliver a 5-star service experience.

• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the capability to uphold patient confidentiality.
