Fullstack Software Engineer – Internal Agentic AI Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop infrastructure, interfaces, and applications for Alan’s members, health professionals, and employees.

• Create Hopper, Alan’s internal agentic AI platform and unified productivity tool.

• Design product experiences for persistent AI sessions across platforms such as the web, Slack, Linear, and GitHub.

• Build agent runtime and orchestration features, which include control plane, harness, model routing, long-running execution, recovery, and isolated sandboxes.

• Create secure connectors via an MCP Gateway that manages identity, credentials, permissions, confirmations, sensitivity, and auditing.

• Develop reusable skills, automation tools, artifacts, dashboards, and hosted solutions.

• Create evaluations and trust-centric product experiences that present tests, screenshots, previews, queries, sources, and tool actions.

• Enhance Hopper towards a robust AI-agent infrastructure, incorporating managed agent pools, sandboxed environments, autonomous testing, and CI auto-fix.

• Take ownership of projects from start to finish, spanning React interactions or API contracts to ensuring production reliability.

• Engage with product and other teams through effective product interaction and shared ownership.

• Deploy daily using the engineering stack of Python/Flask, React, React Native, and PostgreSQL within a monorepo.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-stack software engineering roles.

• Proven track record of building products, internal platforms, frameworks, or infrastructure utilized by others.

• Expertise in at least one relevant field: AI agents and evaluations, developer platforms, high-quality product UX, distributed systems and runtimes, or security and authorization.

• Capability to manage projects end to end, from React interactions or API contracts to ensuring production reliability.

• Familiarity with LLM APIs, agent harnesses, MCP, or AI-assisted coding tools is highly advantageous.

• Experience with product and platform development, treating Alaners across engineering, product, data, sales, and operations as valued customers.

• Ability to comprehend and validate the actions of an AI system.

• Skill in balancing tradeoffs between speed, reliability, cost, security, and user experience.

• Proficiency in simplifying complexity through clear abstractions and maintainable code.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in French is not required.

• Must have legal eligibility to work in France, Belgium, or Spain.
