Forward Deployed AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with Delivery and Operations teams to outline the complete survey lifecycle, which includes tools, handoffs, exceptions, approvals, and bottlenecks.

• Set measurable baselines for current workflows.

• Redesign workflows centered around AI agents and pinpoint further AI prospects within Delivery.

• Create and establish AI-driven workflows utilizing document extraction, structured outputs, workflow routing, and task execution by agents.

• Develop integrations leveraging APIs, webhooks, and automation tools.

• Construct evaluations and monitoring systems for AI-driven workflows and non-deterministic systems.

• Design production workflows that incorporate human-in-the-loop controls, approval checkpoints, review queues, guardrails, audit trails, and exception handling.

• Document systems, workflow logic, prompts, and operational procedures.

• Develop AI-driven processes for vendor support identification, outreach, follow-up, response organization, negotiation assistance, survey link testing, and pricing data workflows.

• Create workflows to extract and structure survey requirements, draft surveys, route ambiguous requirements, enhance translation, support selective re-translation, and execute quality checks and human reviews.

• Enhance targeting and fielding workflows for healthcare professionals based on specialty, country, screening criteria, exclusions, and participation history.

• Monitor survey responses, detect volume or timeline risks, suggest subsequent actions, support Salesforce-managed fielding, and improve incentive strategies.

• Integrate AI workflows with proprietary survey platforms and Salesforce.

• Work collaboratively with Delivery, Operations, Engineering, and internal engineers on platform modifications.

• Convert complex workflows from non-technical operators into user-friendly tools.

• Track workflow adoption, response rates, turnaround times, and time savings; monitor and enhance production workflows.

• Spend the initial 30 days with Delivery teams in the U.S. and Mexico to map workflows and develop a phased implementation plan, starting with vendor engagement as the pilot.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• More than 2 years of experience in building and deploying AI-powered workflows, agents, or automation within production business settings.

• Proven experience in executing an agent-first redesign of a real business workflow, which includes establishing a baseline, redesigning the process, defining human responsibilities, and measuring outcomes.

• Practical experience with LLM in document extraction, classification, structured outputs, workflow routing, and agentic task execution.

• Experience in evaluating non-deterministic systems.

• Background in production engineering with Python and at least one typed programming language.

• Experience with integrating CRMs, internal tools, APIs, and data systems.

• Familiarity with incorporating human approvals, review queues, exception handling, and quality controls into production systems.

• Demonstrated experience working directly with non-technical operators and translating intricate workflows into user-friendly tools.

• Ability to operate from directional guidance and influence stakeholders without direct management authority.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to the U.S.

• Valid working VISA.

• Strong proficiency in Python development and experience with at least one typed programming language.

• Solid understanding of LLM-powered workflows, AI agents, and production automation.

• Capability to evaluate and monitor non-deterministic AI systems.

• Strong skills in integration across APIs, webhooks, CRMs, internal tools, and data systems.

• Proficiency in designing human-in-the-loop controls, approval checkpoints, review queues, guardrails, audit trails, and exception handling.

• Ability to establish measurable workflow baselines and assess the impact of automation.

• Competence in documenting systems, workflow logic, prompts, and operational procedures.

• Preferred qualifications include experience with Salesforce, C#/.NET, React, TypeScript, proprietary platforms, healthcare or regulated environments, multilingual or translation workflows, Zapier or similar platforms, LLM observability, prompt/version management, and reliability testing.

• Availability to work from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST.
