This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify significant opportunities to enhance software development using AI.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to comprehend workflows and develop practical solutions.
• Design, construct, deploy, and manage production-quality AI tools and autonomous workflows.
• Take ownership of projects from the discovery phase and technical design to rollout and iteration.
• Create AI-assisted workflows for code review, testing and validation, issue and crash triage, and development automation.
• Build and advance shared AI infrastructure for model access, vendor integrations, usage monitoring, and cost management.
• Establish evaluation frameworks, monitoring systems, and feedback loops for reliability, adoption, engineering productivity, and software quality.
• Develop reusable skills, plugins, integrations, and engineering patterns for backend, web, iOS, and Android teams.
• Foster adoption through hands-on collaboration, comprehensive documentation, training, and ongoing feedback.
• Collaborate with Security, Platform, Quality Engineering, Product, and Design on guardrails, codebase modernization, and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager, AI Enablement.
• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in backend and full-stack development.
• Experience in designing and managing complex production systems.
• Proven experience in personally building, deploying, and supporting AI-powered systems or autonomous workflows in a professional setting.
• Experience in enhancing AI-powered systems post-launch.
• Practical expertise in LLMs, tool utilization, autonomous workflows, retrieval, and evaluations.
• Familiarity with integrating AI into personal software development workflows.
• Ability to identify opportunities, make informed technical trade-offs, and drive work independently from concept to adoption.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Capability to translate user needs into technical solutions and assist others in adopting new tools and practices.
• Ability to assess AI-system quality and impact through evaluations, observability, usage, feedback, and productivity outcomes.
• Willingness to learn across technology stacks and collaborate with web and mobile engineers.
• Experience in developer tooling, developer experience, or platform enablement is advantageous.
• Direct experience with iOS or Android is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Work remotely across the US or from our modern office in Manhattan, NY.
