This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Develop and sustain production-level backend services that facilitate AI usage metering, reporting, billing integrations, and model availability.
• Design and implement data pipelines and event-driven systems that efficiently process usage and product data at scale.
• Create cloud-native services utilizing C#, AWS, and contemporary backend architecture patterns.
• Develop integrations among AI, product, data, billing, and platform systems.
• Write high-quality, thoroughly tested code and engage in code reviews.
• Contribute to the design and architectural decisions of backend services, data pipelines, and integrations.
• Assess technical trade-offs and establish scalable patterns for the AI Growth platform.
• Design distributed systems using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and S3.
• Convert product and business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Take ownership of the reliability and operational health of services; investigate and address production issues.
• Monitor system health and enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Create systems with production support, observability, and maintainability as key considerations.
• Collaborate with AI Tools, Business Intelligence, Finance, Platform Engineering, and Product teams.
• Work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements into engineering solutions.
• Support engineers through code reviews, collaboration, and sharing technical insights.
• Manage tasks from requirements gathering to implementation, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Establish technical practices and processes as the AI Growth team evolves.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience focused on building production-grade systems.
• Extensive experience in developing distributed backend services using C# or a similar backend programming language.
• Proficient with AWS or Azure and modern cloud-native backend architecture patterns.
• Experience in building or maintaining data pipelines, event-driven systems, or analytics infrastructure.
• Skilled in designing and managing reliable production services.
• Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, product, data, or other technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Experience in building billing, metering, usage tracking, or rate-limiting systems.
• Familiarity with product analytics, instrumentation, or usage-based data systems.
• Proficient with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and S3.
• Experience with Snowflake, Kafka, or similar data and event-streaming technologies.
• Proven experience in building systems that link product usage data with commercial or billing workflows.
